Goodbye Autumn, Hello Winter

Even though we technically still have several more weeks of autumn, Halloween and the end of October mark the end of autumn, and the beginning of winter for me. Maybe it’s because here in the Northeast snow can come as early as Halloween night. We did not get that snow this year, but we did get rain. It’s still raining, in fact, and there is talk of snow on the way. The leaves are all gone, and it is dark and grey, so snow would be a welcome bright shininess around here.

In honor of my personal end to autumn, here are some of my favorite shots from the season.

Beautiful shots! We don’t have a true fall season here so I enjoy the peek into yours.

So you’re doing NaBloPoMo again? Awesome. I really can’t this month, it is too crazy but I look forward to reading some of your lovely posts.

Hi Tania, glad you like the shots. I’m trying to start taking more pictures and learn a little about photography. Note that I said start!
I am trying to do NaBloPoMo – on both blogs! I need to get back into writing (and reading) and I figure this is a good way to do it.

The pictures are so perfect – definitely capturing autumn in the northeast. I think around here, the minute Halloween ends, people start thinking about Thanksgiving, which conjures up thoughts of cooking comfort foods, cozy sweaters, possible snowstorms, etc…. it’s kind of the unofficial start of winter.
I myself wouldn’t mind winter if it lasted just as long as fall – about a month to two months, tops. I just wish it wasn’t 6 months long…
Wishing you a warm and cozy season…

I TOTALLY agree! I don’t mind winter through Christmas, and then I’m just done. I hope you stay warm and cozy too!
